Pre-Market
The S&P 500 is 0.25% higher in pre-market trading. German stocks started firmly and have given up their gains again. The DAX is nearly unchanged at +0.07%. German GDP came in 0.1% weaker than expected, at 1.7%. The ZEW index gave mixed signal. The current ZEW level was expected at 61.6%, yet came in at a low 58.7. The outlook however beat analysts` expectations. Highest gaining stock in the DAX was RWE, at +3.57%. Merck on the other hand, loses 1.99%, despite recording good numbers. Empire State Manufacturing came in at a stronger than expected 1.5. Additionally Retail Sales figures point to better economic development in the USA. The USD and Gold are unchanged. WTI Oil gains 3.16%.
