The Yen is getting a little bit stronger. Overview for 14.12.2018

USDJPY is trading downwards on Friday; investors are monitoring the statistics.

The Japanese Yen is rising against the USD on Friday morning. The current quote for the instrument is 113.56. 

There were a lot of numbers from Japan today. The Tankan Manufacturing Index remained at 19 points in the fourth quarter, although it was expected to lose 1 point. 

The Tankan Non-Manufacturing Index increased up to 24 points after being 22 points the quarter before and against the expected reading of 21 points. 

According to preliminary estimations, the Manufacturing PMI rose up to 52.4 points in December after being 52.2 points in November and against market expectations of 52.3 points. 

The final revision of the Industrial Production in October showed +2.9% m/m, the same as in the previous month, although it was expected to be +2.8% m/m.
