US Open. Market Overview for 21.11.2016

Pre-Market

The S&P 500 rises 0.26% in pre-market trading. German stocks started the week on a weaker footing. The morning session saw the DAX drop under the 10600 level. The trend changed to positive at 10:30, leading to a gain of 100 points to the 10700 level. The DAX is up 0.36%. Volkswagen gains the most at +2.39%. Merck on the other hand drops 1.29&. Technically the DAX is in a sideways trend. The S&P500 trades below the important resistance of 2200. Earnings season has come to an end. It remains to be seen which event will cause a breakthrough. After last week’s large gains in the USD, profit taking is seen. Gold and WTI Oil trade up.
