The Standard & Poors 500 Future trades up 01.3%. The DAX is in positive territory, trading +0.44%. Today´s best performer is Bayer. Informed circles have hinted that Bayer will take increase its takeover offer for Monsanto. Bayer has increased its offer to 128 USD for Monsanto shares. An official confirmation from Bayer could follow today. The takeover will cost Bayer 56 Billion USD, which would create the world´s largest agricultural and pesticide corporation. . Interestingly, Bayer´s equity dropped on initial news of a takeover and now rises 3% on the actual takeover. Us markets will open higher today. The USD has given up most of its gains against the Yen. Gold and WTI Oil trade up.
