The euro "slips" down

20.10.2014
The main currency pair is trading at a slight pressure on the background of the empty macroeconomic calendar.

On Monday morning the euro maintains the trend of the end of last week as investors are sluggishly selling in the absence of any meaningful statistics and other news.

Germany submitted statistical data to which the market did not react – either it is "used" to it, or the data is too "small" for investors who are accustomed to large-scale reactions. The Producer Price Index in September showed zero change for the month. On an annual basis, all remained in their places with a contraction of 1.0%.

German statistics recently, all look very mixed. On the one hand, the labour market, for example, gives sufficiently stable and confident signals: the unemployment rate is at pre-crisis level.

Simultaneously the "Minor" comes from the sector of industrial production and exports, which is logically understandable and justified.

For the euro/dollar the coming week will be rather "boring" as usual for the end of the month. The "bears" will gradually sell as soon as they see any more or less suitable reason for this occasion.
