NY Fed Empire State Index is calculated as weighted average of the following indices: New Orders, Deliveries, Backlog Orders, Provisions, Period of Delivery, Payment and Order Price, Average Workweek, Unemployment. The calculation is based on evaluations from the producing industry of New York area. The indicator has limited online forex market influence. An increase in this index’s value is has a positive effect on the US dollar rate growth. The data is published in the middle of each month.
