Help-Wanted Index

Help-Wanted Index USA

The indicator Help-Wanted Index (USA) gives us information of the number of help-wanted newspaper advertisements. The year of 1987 is the reference year, its value is taken to be 100.  Help-Wanted Index is analyzed using a moving average. If the moving average indicates a change in index trend for the duration of several months, then this may be a sign of change on the employment market. It can also indicate an economic change in different areas of the country. This indicator has limited online forex market influence, because it takes into consideration only major regional newspapers. The data is published on the last Thursday of each month.
