Employment (Labor) Cost Index EMU includes salaries and unemployment benefits and may serve as an indicator of presence of inflation processes in the country’s economy. It is one of the three main indicators carefully followed by Federal Reserve System during conducting of its monetary policy. Employment Cost Index  has limited online forex market influence. When expecting major interest rate increases, this indicator’s value increase leads to the US dollar rate growth. It is used for the mid term and long term forecasts.
