The indicator CPI measures retail prices changes of consumer goods basket. CPI Index also includes imported goods and is viewed as the main inflation level indicator and has significant online forex market influence. It is analyzed along with Producer Price Index (PPI). In case of good conditions for development of the economy, these indicators come up and it results in an increase of interest rate in the country. This fact increases a likelihood of investment in national currency and, hence, leads to the currency rate growth as well. The data on Consumer Price Index in the USA is published in the middle of each month, a little while after publishing of Producer Price Index (PPI).
